The Members specifically requested that the Appropriations Committee allow for robust funding for FEMA's Transit Security Grant Program (TGSP).
"Leaders from the technology industry, homeland security and our military have unequivocally stated that the United States is dangerously at risk of suffering a 'Cyber-Pearl Harbor.' We have a responsibility to protect our country against cyber threats and we have critical weaknesses to address.

This office leads the federal government's innovative work in renewable electricity generation, sustainable transportation, and energy-saving technologies for businesses and homes.

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Representative Eric Swalwell (CA-15) today participated in a Homeland Security Transportation Security Subcommittee hearing entitled "TSA's Efforts to Advance Risk-Based Security: Stakeholder Perspectives." Swalwell questioned witnesses from airline stakeholder groups regarding the decision by TSA to allow certain small knives on-board planes. He reiterated his objection to this risky policy that ignores the threat of knives, arguing TSA must screen for new threats like liquids, along with old ones like knives.
