WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Representative Eric Swalwell (D-CA) announced the 2022 Congressional Art Competition winners for California District 15. Twenty-six students from 12 schools across the district participated in this year's competition. Melody Serena Zhang, a junior at Fremont Christian School is the first-place winner and will have her painting displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year.

WASHINGTON, DC – In an effort to improve air travel safety, increase protections for travelers and airline personnel, reduce the number of in-flight violent incidents, and hold unruly passengers accountable if they assault an airline crew member or attendant, U.S. Senator Jack Reed (D-RI) and U.S. Representatives Eric Swalwell (D-CA) and Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA) are introducing new bipartisan legislation that could stiffen penalties against offenders convicted of assaulting flight crew aboard an aircraft and place them on a commercial no-fly list.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Congressman Eric Swalwell (D-CA) returned from leading a bipartisan delegation of House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence members and staff to the Ukrainian border.

Over the 5-day trip, the group held consultations at the U.S. Embassy Budapest, met with Ukrainian refugees in the Hungarian town of Zahony, including working a shift at Jose Andres' World Central Kitchen, and visited the U.S. Mission to Finland – the only non-NATO E.U. state which shares a border with Russia.
