Swalwell Statement on the Silicon Valley Bank Closure

Washington D.C. – Today, U.S. Congressman Eric Swalwell (CA-14) issued the following statement:

"California's 14th Congressional District is home to thousands of small and medium-sized businesses, many of which rely on Silicon Valley Bank to pay their employees. I have heard from scores of constituents who have not received their paychecks because of this crisis, putting their mortgages and financial security at risk. My priority is ensuring accountability for any mismanagement at the bank or by investors, as well as protecting the most innocent and vulnerable employees of the bank's customers. I am asking the Administration for a briefing as soon as possible."
