Congressman Eric Swalwell (D-Dublin) will have as his guest at President Obama's "State of the Union" speech tonight an Afghan interpreter who served alongside U.S. troops in Afghanistan.

He was later ceremonially sworn into office in front of family, friends, and East Bay constituents in the Rayburn Gold Room by Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, who administered the oath of office. Swalwell is an active member of the Homeland Security Committee.
