WASHINGTON, DC – Rep. Eric Swalwell (CA-15) and Rep. Elise Stefanik (NY-21) on Monday introduced the bipartisan Expanding Wounded in Action Notification Act, a bill requiring that Members of Congress be notified whenever a constituent serving in the armed forces is seriously wounded and hospitalized while on active duty.

Current law requires such notification only when a seriously wounded service member is transferred to a military hospital within the United States; this bipartisan bill would expand the requirement to include hospitalizations abroad as well.

WASHINGTON, DC – Rep. Eric Swalwell (CA-15), ranking member of the CIA Subcommittee for the House Intelligence Committee, returned Friday from a trip focused on oversight of the Iran nuclear deal and on Russian aggression toward Georgia, NATO and the West.

In Vienna, Austria, Swalwell was briefed by the U.S. Mission – America's liaison to Vienna-based international organizations including the International Atomic Energy Agency – on the status of the 2015 Iran nuclear agreement, with which Iran remains compliant.

WASHINGTON, DC – Rep. Eric Swalwell (CA-15), the founder and chairman of Future Forum, and other members of that group on Wednesday unveiled a policy paper entitled "Future For Us: Higher Ed" – a plan for making higher education more accessible and affordable.

Future Forum, founded in April 2015, is a group of 27 young House Democrats focused upon listening to and acting upon the needs of millennials – America's largest, most-diverse, and best-educated generation. Swalwell and other Future Forum members have visited with millennials in almost 50 U.S. cities to hear their concerns.
