I'm writing to invite you to Women's Business Empowerment Day on Saturday, April 12 at CSU East Bay in Hayward. This event was inspired by the principle that when women succeed, America succeeds. This is the central tenet ofmy Women's Economic Agenda, which aims to address the economic challenges facing women and families today.

Our event is an effort to provide women of the East Bay with the tools necessary to succeed in the workforce. The day will feature workshops on a number of skills including:
- How to start or expand your own small business
- Perfecting the art of negotiation: salary, benefits, and work/family balance
- Achieving leadership within your company and community
