Questions about the Affordable Care Act? Get answers Saturday!

Dear Friend,

Do you have questions about the Affordable Care Act? On Saturday, September 7, I will be holding an information session on the Affordable Care Act to answer your questions and share how to make the health law work for you.

The Affordable Care Act: Making it Work for You

September 7, 2013

2:00 – 4:00 PM

Glad Tidings Church

27689 Tyrrell Avenue, Hayward, CA 94544 (MAP)

Already the Affordable Care Act has expanded health benefits like preventive care to more Americans and put in place reforms to protect patients from insurance company abuses. Beginning October 1, eligible Californians will be able to enroll and purchase quality, affordable coverage for 2014 through the Covered California Marketplace.

The session will feature presentations about the Affordable Care Act and how it will affect you from Herb Schultz, the Regional Director of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), and members of the East Bay healthcare community. Following the information session, you can receive free clinical check-ups from East Bay community healthcare providers who will be offering optometry, dental, and blood pressure screenings.

As always, my offices in the East Bay are prepared to answer any questions you have on the Affordable Care Act and also can assist you with other federal issues you may have, including dealing with Social Security, Medicare, veterans' benefits, and more. Please contact our Hayward office at 510-370-3322 or Pleasanton office at 925-460-5100. Or stop by if there's anything we can do for you, we are open Monday – Friday from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

It is an honor to represent you in the U.S. Congress, and I look forward to continuing to receive your feedback. To stay in touch, please sign up for my e-newsletter and connect with me on Twitter @RepSwalwell and on Facebook.

Sincerely,
