My latest bill

Dear Friend,

Here in the East Bay, we live in the heart of American innovation. Our area is a shining pillar of technology and new ideas, where some of the greatest minds in the world live. But, unfortunately, our education system is failing the next generation of American innovators.

I believe the road back to the top starts in our schools and with our youth. Promoting science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education in schools and STEM career training in the work place is critical to the success of all Americans in today's innovation economy.

This is why I introduced H.R. 2082, the STEM K to Career Act, a bill that would advance STEM education and encourage STEM career growth and development. I invite you to read more about my bill and the actions we must do to continue to improve on STEM education.

Together, we must prepare our kids today for the jobs that will be there tomorrow. It's time for America to once again rise to the top.
