Swalwell Statement on the Foreign Aid Package

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Rep. Eric Swalwell (CA-14), released the following statement:

“Today, I voted yes on the foreign aid package. With our allies under attack around the world, under democratic leadership Congress is finally standing up for democracy to thwart Putin’s puppets in the MAGA Republican Party from helping Russia. House Democrats are governing from the minority by putting people over politics. As a result, the U.S. will equip our allies with the support they need to defend themselves and provide $9 billion to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Democrats will never shy away from being a leader on the global stage and do what is necessary to overcome threats to freedom.”
