Rep. Swalwell Convenes Second Bipartisan Freshman Meeting on Government Shutdown

October 1, 2013

WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Representative Eric Swalwell (CA-15) today co-hosted another meeting of the United Solutions Caucus, a bipartisan group of Freshman Members Rep. Swalwell helped found. The Members discussed the federal government shutdown. This follows a meeting of the bipartisan caucus in Rep. Swalwell's office yesterday, which included 10 Members.

"At a time when Americans are fed up with partisanship, the United Solutions Caucus is coming together by sitting down and having conversations badly needed," said Rep. Swalwell. "All of our constituents are suffering from the federal government shutdown. It is incumbent on us to do everything we can to reopen the government."

Rep. Swalwell helped found this group of nearly 30 Freshmen Members to find bipartisan solutions to grow the economy, create jobs, and reduce our deficit.
