Farewell Freshman Year

Dear Friend,

As I wrap up my freshman term in Congress, I want to thank you for providing me the honor of serving our community. I’m proud of our accomplishments over the past year and am always grateful to work with you to advance policies that will grow opportunity for the middle class and our economy, ensure security at home and abroad, and promote equality for all people.

Some of our 2014 highlights include:

  • President Obama signing 2 of my bills into law (more than any other first-term Member of Congress).
  • Casting 561 votes on the House Floor (99.5% voting record).
  • Flying 250,000 miles to and from the district in order to return home and serve our community.
  • Assisting 1,100 constituents with problems with federal agencies.
  • Returning nearly $1 million to local veterans.
  • Giving more than 1,300 constituents tours of the U.S. Capitol.

As we start the new Congress in January, I want to hear from you about your priorities. Contact me here
