Fourth of July
I want to wish you and your family a safe and happy Fourth of July. It is an honor to serve you in the U.S. Congress and I look forward to celebrating our independence with many of you this weekend at parades and events throughout the East Bay.
Here is a helpful article with information on Fourth of July celebrations around the Bay Area.
While we celebrate with fireworks, barbecues and parades, we remember that our freedom is not free. On this Independence Day, I want to give special thanks to the service men and women who defend our hard-fought freedoms.
I am closely monitoring the situation at the Livermore VA Medical Center to ensure our veterans are not waiting too long for medical care. I also visited the facility to be updated personally on the situation by the local VA hospital’s director. I will continue to work every day in Congress so our service members receive the care and benefits they earned and deserve.
As always, it is an honor to represent you in the U.S. Congress. Visit my website or contact my East Bay offices at 510-370-3322 or 925-460-5100 if we can be of service in any way. To stay connected, join me on Twitter @RepSwalwell and Facebook.
Happy Independence Day!
